A Case Study about Soyangin Heat Sensation in the Chest(á´åÕìÑ (ýØÌ®æðñû) Patients Diagnosed as Hyperthyroidism

Abstract
|

|
Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate diagnosis and treatment based on Sasang Constitutional Medicine (ÞÌßÚì¢ùÊ) on hyperthyroidism.
Method : We diagnosed a hyperthyroid patient as Soyangin Heat Sensation in the Chest(á´åÕìÑ ýØÌ®æðñû). We started treatment with Sasang-bang(ÞÌßÚÛ°) for the first 7 days, and then we treated with contemporary Sasang-bang and antithyroid drugs for the later 14 days. The patient`s subjective and objective symptoms were observed daily throughout the hospitalization period, and thyroid function index was measured to gauge the progress.
Results : The patient`s ymptoms and thyroid function index were improved.
Conclusions : The results show Sasang-bang can be used to treat hyperthyroidism with Heat Sensation in the Chest of Soyangin. We consider that Sasang Constitutional treatment can contribute to cure hyperthyroidism.
